jupiter's kiss
Vanderocker's debut album, Jupiter's Kiss, released in 2014.
Recorded in Los Angeles.
on this record
All tracks are written and performed by Adrienne Vanderocker. Much of the writing occurred on Adrienne's travels mostly between her hometown, Austin, Seattle, and Amsterdam. Tracking largely took place in historic United Recording Studios in Hollywood. Producing on the album along with Adrienne is the wonderful Ryan Staples, except for two tracks (Kissing Booth and Cupid's Sting) which were produced by Dan Chase aka Fadercreep.
Guitar master Tim Pierce, (aka Tim Fierce) who has made an incredible name for himself in the music business collaborating with artists like Rick Springfield, Elton John, Eric Clapton, and Alice Cooper.
Tim played on all tracks minus Shocked in Kathmandu, in which Lyle Workman stepped in to take over.
Chris Chaney, who most of you will recognize as the bass player for Jane's Addiction and also has worked with other amazing artists like Alanis Morrisette, Joe Cocker, Taylor Hawkins, Slash, etc. It's thrilling to watch him work, his edge and style are unparalleled as he approaches each track with an elegant blend of reverence and ruthlessness.
Jamie Muhoberac played keys for two tracks on this project, Cupid's Sting and Kissing Booth. His talents have led him to work with artists like Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, Avenged Sevenfold, and My Chemical Romance. He is an incredibly passionate musician.
Master drummer, Matt Chamberlain, contributed to this projects like nobody's business. A true pro, he captured the dymanics and feel of each track with precision and depth. He has worked and toured with such artists such as Tori Amos, Edie Brickell, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and many more.
Ryan Staples produced all the tracks but two; Cupid's Sting and Kissing Booth which were produced by Dan Chase aka Fadercreep. Ryan has worked alongside such monster producers as Scott Litt and Rick Rubin, recording countless projects of all kinds. Ryan took on this record by the horns and guided it with much love and finesse.
Mastering Engineer, Mike Bozzi has spent over 20 years at Bernie Grundman Mastering. He's won multiple grammy nominations for his work in Hip Hop. He's probably best known for his collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Janet Jackson, etc. If creating an album were to be likened to birthing in a delivery room, Mike would probably be the skilled doc who catches the baby, cleans it up, and presents it to the world.
